Recent Eastern Michigan University organic chemistry graduate, Philip Elugbemi, started a photography company titled; Kunleidoscope, which showcases an aesthetic that is both vibrant and clean.

Take the money out of the equation and this organic chemist is choosing photography every time.

His love for photography began with his love for a good picture mixed with his desire to achieve the best shot. He continued practicing and fell in love with the ability to tell a story from his creative point of view.

“We need creatives for how we view the world because it tells a story. We all have our way in which we express ourselves and art gives everyone a different outlook on life,” said Elugbemi.

When it’s all said and done Elugbemi would like to see the Kuliendescope brand travel the world. He wants his name to mean something based on the work he is starting now.

“It doesn’t matter how many people are doing it. Once you start just keep going because if you end up quitting then you were never as passionate as you intially thought,” said Elugbemi.

It's not always what you know. Sometimes it's who you know and you just have to keep working. Often when he finishes a shoot he finds himself pleasently suprised the outcome and his performance. He expressed challenges assocaited with finding a creative career.

“Always have a plan A, B and C because at some point you may realize that one source of income is not enough and even if your passion is your 9-5 job you should still be figuring out other ways to continue devloping,” said Elugbemi.
